Gig-App Hourly Pay Calculator

See what your delivery shift earned per active and total work hour, including waiting time and your chosen distance costs. Working across two gig apps? Count overlapping work time once.

Your calculator entries stay in this browser tab. They are not sent to Drovm or saved to an account.

Your delivery work

Use final pay, including tips and bonuses, once. For two apps, add their final earnings together. Do not add tips again if they are already included.

Total work time, including waiting

Active delivery time (optional)

Use verified active time. If active sessions overlap across apps, count that time once. Leave this blank if you cannot verify it.

Use your combined fuel/electricity and maintenance estimate per unit. Include all delivery-work distance once. Leaving either field blank keeps net results unknown; enter 0 only when intentional.

“Net” here means earnings minus the distance costs you entered, before tax reserves and other expenses. It is not final take-home pay or a tax calculation. A dash means a required input is missing or the rate cannot be calculated.

Currency changes the label; this tool does not convert money. Switching miles/kilometers converts distance and cost per unit together.

How to calculate your true hourly delivery pay

Start with final earnings, including tips. Divide by all the time you worked to see gross pay per total hour. Then subtract the distance costs you choose before calculating net hourly results.

Gross per total hour
Total earnings ÷ total work hours

Gross per active hour
Total earnings ÷ active delivery hours

Net per total hour
(Total earnings − distance × cost per unit) ÷ total work hours

Net per active hour
(Total earnings − distance × cost per unit) ÷ active delivery hours

Example: $72 earned does not mean $36 for every hour worked

A sample dash earns $72 in 3 total hours, including 2 active hours. Gross pay is $24 per total hour and $36 per active hour. At 24 miles and $0.30 of combined costs per mile, estimated distance costs are $7.20. That leaves $64.80 before other expenses and taxes: $21.60 per total hour or $32.40 per active hour.

Multi-apping: two apps can share the same hour

A DoorDash session from 9 AM to noon and an Uber Eats session from 10 AM to 1 PM cover 4 unique work hours, not 6. The two-app helper merges those intervals. With $81 total earnings, gross hourly pay is $20.25. Each platform keeps its own hours when you compare platforms separately.

What counts as total versus active time?

Include time spent working and waiting for offers in total work time. Use the verified active-time figure from your records for delivery activity. A trip receipt may show only one trip, not the whole work session. Do not substitute active time for total work time.

Does this track mileage or connect to DoorDash?

No. This is an independent calculator using the numbers you enter. It does not use GPS, request delivery-account credentials, or link to a delivery platform.
